Stephen King - 11_22_63_cover_kicsiSo as a few of you know I am a very hardcore TV watcher. I love watching series more then I really enjoy movies. I love getting involved in a story with characters that grow over time. I grew up reading Stephen King. I wrote an essay on Bag of Bones in the 6th grade. When I heard they were making a tv mini series out of 11-22-63 I knew I had to watch it. Then it was announced that James Franco was the star and I was all in. I love James Franco, I think he is really versatile. I went and picked up the audio book so I could listen to it while I was falling asleep. I was hoping it would be as good as some of the other books he has written.

I went into the show very excited because I thought it would be interesting to see how it played out. I started the show before I finished the book,

The idea of the plot is interesting, What if you could go back in time and change the course of history would you do it? I liked the idea of trying to make a better tomorrow and the whole show thought about the butterfly effect and how that would affect the characters. I really enjoyed the way James Franco grows as the episodes go on as you see his thought process as he has to make decisions he know might change the path of history.

11-22-63If you enjoy tv shows about history, time travel, love, and drama you might enjoy this one. It is well written and full of suspense. It keeps you guessing each week. Take a chance and watch the 8 part mini series and pick up the book and give it a try. There are some differences but both are a great story.
