Retro Gaming: Mario Party 9 for the Wii

th (20)Ok starting off, I am in love with Yoshi, have been since as long as I can remember. So pretty much I own every Mario game made because of that adorable green dino and tons of Yoshi merchandise, I am actually starting at my Yoshi backpack and figurines on my night stand as I write.

Now I love board games, I’d have a game night every night if I could convince my friends that its fun 7 days a week, but I guess in my group I am the only one who feels that way. So for me Mario Party is the perfect pick me up on days I am feeling sad from the lost of a daily game night. On top of it being a virtual video game board game I can play as Yoshi, it’s like a dream come true.

This game has 80 mini games, which is awesome because it means if you are playing the actual game modes it may be weeks before you see them all. So it is like always unlocking new content so it’s always an adventure. You can play by yourself, against friends or against the computer. If I play against friends I usually leave it to just us rather then adding in the computer since we get rather competitively intense.

I am super competitive and kind of a jerk when it comes to winning.. I admit it. So I like playing against the computer because I can be as nasty as I want and I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings, but I love playing against friends. The other cool thing about the game is the more you play the more points you earn to buy mini games, levels, vehicles.. and lots of other sweet stuff.

I suggest picking up this game for one of those nights when everyone is over and you haven’t got the faintest idea what to do, it will keep you entertained and have you engaged and laughing for quite a while.
