Teen Frankenstein By Chandler Baker

I am a huge lover of YA fiction.  I am also a huge horror fan so when I was given a copy of this last year at SDCC I was overly excited. The story is a high school twist on Frankenstein. It’s cute and though it lacks real depth it’s fun YA and a good read if you like horror and want something to read really quick.

The main character is our Victor Frankenstein but instead she’s Tor Frankenstein and she’s a talented and brillant young scientist in high school trying to live up to her departed fathers wacky theories. When she accidentally hits a kid with her car, not knowing what to do she grabs him and takes him back to her lab. Where she is able to bring him back to life. In the high school drama world there is romance and suspense and of course bullying. All leading up to the question who is this guy and where is he from.

This is what goodreads has to say about it:

“High school meets classic horror in this groundbreaking new series.

It was a dark and stormy night when Tor Frankenstein accidentally hit someone with her car. And killed him. But all is not lost–Tor, being the scientific genius she is, brings him back to life…

Thus begins a twisty, turn-y take on a familiar tale, set in the town of Hollow Pines, Texas, where high school is truly horrifying.”
