Colourpop My Little Pony Palette
I was super excited when I found out that Colourpop was collaborating with My Little Pony. I have seen so many collabs with the Friendship is Magic My Little Pony, so I couldn’t believe it when I saw the vintage ponies being represented. I get really excited to see something that meant so much to me in my childhood being sold again in products I use as an adult. So when I saw this I instantly had to jump at the chance to get it for myself.
The color palette is really pretty, my only real complaint with it is the color names to the ponies. It was weird to me some of the colors they choose to represent some ponies. Though the colors are all very beautiful and the packaging is really nice. I was a giant Firefly fan when I was a kid. (Firefly the pony not the tv show that FOX cancelled). I even still have the baby pony sitting on a desk in my room. I loved her so much. So the fact that she is part of this set just made me want to jump all in.
The best part about Colorpop cosmetics is they are really inexpensive and good quality. They are a good accessible makeup brand that makes great items with awesome fandoms and collaborations. That’s really important nowadays because everyone seems to really be stepping up their game when it comes to makeup. The fact that even more people are able to make makeup gives all these makeup brands a run for their money. You really have to have a catch nowadays. Even major brands are cashing in on the fandom gimmick. Glamglow even did a collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog earlier this year. I am really sad that I missed that one. I hope at some point I get lucky and find it online.
I don’t think I am going to use the peach colors on the palette but I will for surely use the other colors. I can’t wait to start doing geeky makeup looks and OOTD’s on here and my Kitten Speaks Fashion instagram. So that I can share with you my love of makeup. Especially geeky makeup.
