A Midsummer Nights Scream By RL Stine

by

I grew up in love with RL Stine. My love started with the goosebump books and once I had read all of them I started reading Fear Street. I have just started reading his adult books and finished Red Rain.

I hadn’t heard of this book when I saw it at the library. So I decided to pick it up and read it. I really like the way that he writes characters that quickly move through the book and disappear just as quickly.

The story follows a bunch of young people who have been cast in a movie. The movie is based off of another movie but try to film in the house so they are filming in but a ton of murders happened and the set got closed down. Now they are trying to revive the movie and do it again and of course horror and terror takes over the movie set.

Like most of his stories he does not eidolon set up of setting but quickly gets into the story. As of what goes on more and where characters die. I like the way that RL Stine brings mystery and horror together well not dragging out the storyline. He brings a little paranormal into his stories to make them both scary and different than just your regular serial killer novel.

I give this book a four out of five and would recommend it for anyone that loves his books.
